Police are on the hunt for more CIT Robbery suspects following yesterday’s shootout in Laudium, west of Pretoria. Six suspects were shot dead and one was arrested on the “Military Road.” Police seized two vehicles (one hijacked) and four firearms and ammunition. The gang has been linked to a CIT robbery in nearby Atteridgeville last week and they were planning to rob another cash van. They were intercepted en-route to a safehouse at Mahpral Heights in Himalaya Street Laudium. A heavy shootout ensued with police. The possibly that the gang could be involved in others crimes is under investigation. More arrests are expected. Multiple police units and private security were involved in the breakthrough. Additionally, through the FBI’s work on the Darkweb, investigators identified one of the largest vendors selling fentanyl and other controlled substances which are distributed throughout the United States. Warrants served during this operation resulted in the arrest of a Chinese national in the United States illegally, and the seizure of nearly 200 pounds of fentanyl, methamphetamine and other narcotics. VIDEO CIRCULATING OF SUSPECTS ARRESTED MADE AT MALL OF AFRICA Three suspects linked to taxi violence related murders in East London have been arrested by a special task team assigned to prevent, combat and investigate serious and violent crime in the Eastern Cape. The murders are believed to have taken place between November 2023 and August 2024 in which two taxi owners, a taxi driver and a member of a taxi association were gunned down. Two of the suspects were arrested at Mall of Africa in Midrand, Johannesburg on Friday, 08 November 2024, while another one was arrested in East London on Saturday, 09 November 2024. Four other suspects that are also seen in this video have been taken in for questioning by SAPS. Police have seized four pistols and an AK47 from the suspects. These firearms and rifle have been taken in for ballistics testing to determine their linkage to the murders and any other serious and violent crime. This matter is still under investigation and police will not comment further.

Our Organized Crime Enforcement Team began investigating & identified a network believed to be engaged in drug trafficking, firearms offences, vehicle re-vinning & prescription fraud. Throughout the investigation, officers wrote 74 judicial authorizations & executed 15 search warrants. 📌 In December 2025, search warrants in Delacour & Chestermere led to the seizure of cash, forged prescription documents, prescription medication & a radio-frequency jammer. Ausama MOHAMED & Bonnie LEBLANC were charged with fraud-related offences. 📌 In March 2026, search warrants executed on 2 Calgary residences & 3 vehicles resulted in the seizure of a loaded gun, ammunition, cash & drugs. Some of the drugs were located individually wrapped & concealed in a vehicle’s door panelling. Mohammed SALIMI & Omed SALIMI were charged with drug-trafficking offences. 📌 The next day, a traffic stop by the Gang Suppression Team led to the seizure of a loaded gun, ammunition, drugs & brass knuckles, all concealed behind a vehicle panel. The Peruvian Prosecutor's Office has launched a preliminary investigation following numerous reports from families of missing relatives who traveled to the Russian Federation. However, upon arrival, they were sent directly to the front lines. Investigators are treating the case as potential crimes against human dignity, including aggravated human trafficking. Documents were seized from those who arrived in Russia, after which they underwent brief military training and were deployed to combat zones. 8 deaths have been confirmed. They were all found during a warrant in Birkenhead carried out as part of Operation Vanguard on Thursday 23 July. A total of 66 people were arrested and weapons, cash, drugs and stolen property seized after 45 warrants were executed across Merseyside as part of the third Operation Vanguard carried out by the force. More than 300 police officers were deployed in Liverpool, St Helens, Knowsley, Sefton and Wirral conducting early morning warrants, roadside checks, land searches and more in a sustained and relentless offensive against criminals operating in our local communities. A 43-year-old man from Birkenhead and 24-year-old woman from Leasowe were arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods, acquiring/using/possessing criminal property, possession of a Class A controlled drug (cocaine) and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. They have been bailed while enquiries continue. 🚲 Our officers have checked each bike against those already reported stolen in the force and now we are appealing for the public’s help. If you believe any of the bikes pictured belong to you or someone you know, please contact us and we will ensure they are returned. Man Arrested After Knife Incident, Bradford College A man has been arrested following an incident near Bradford College this morning. Reports were received from 9.21am of a man armed with what appeared to be a knife on Great Horton Road. He was detained by college security staff and arrested by attending officers. A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting two members of the public and assaulting two emergency workers. He was also arrested for a racially-aggravated public order offence and causing damage to a police vehicle. The two injured members of the public have been taken to hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. A small gardening tool was seized by police at the scene. Detective Inspector Ailis Coates said: “We know that this incident will understandably cause some concern in the community. I would like to reassure people that the suspect was quickly detained by security staff and arrested by the police. “We understand that this incident has been witnessed by a large number of people and that some people may have filmed bits of it. We would ask them to please share this footage with the police as it could greatly assist us in our ongoing investigation. “We currently have a police scene in place on Great Horton Road and people can expect to see our neighbourhood policing colleagues in the area providing reassurance to college staff and students and the wider community.”
