Iran’s Strategy to End the War: Defeat Trump Most in the West believe that because of America's relentless bombardment, Iran is hanging by a thread, and at best hopes to hang on and outlast the U.S. According to Professor Seyed Marandi (Seyed Mohammad Marandi) from the University of Tehran, Iran has a different mindset and objective: "The Iranians believe that the best way to bring an end to the war is for Trump to be defeated."
