After Russia proved once again last night how pointless diplomatic initiatives on our part (currently) are, I thought we could take another look at the current state of air defence deliveries from Germany. DELIVERED — 6 IRIS-T SLM fire units — 12 IRIS-T SLS launchers — 3 MIM-104 Patriot fire units — 4 MIM-104 Patriot launchers — 1 S-300PMU fire unit — 60 Gepard/Cheetah SPAAGs — 2 Skynex air defence systems — 16 Kinetic Defence Vehicles — 3,200 MANPADS — 800+ anti-drone systems, jammers etc. — 16 TRML-4D air surveillance radars — 658+ IRIS-T & IRIS-T SL missiles — 358 MIM-104 Patriot missiles — ? AIM-9L/I-1 Sidewinder missiles — ? RIM-7 Sea Sparrow missiles — ~ 334,000 rounds for Gepard/Cheetah SPAAGs — ? AHEAD ammunition for Skynex PLEDGES SECURED FOR 2025 — 4 IRIS-T SLM fire units — 6 IRIS-T SLS launchers — 2 Skynex air defence systems — 2 Cheetah SPAAGs — ? IRIS-T & IRIS-T SL missiles — ? The Capability Coalition Integrated Air and Missile Defense coordinates the establishment of modern and effective Ukrainian air defence forces in accordance with NATO standards. And finally, the IAAD initiative. Through the Immediate Action on Air Defense initiative — similar to the Czech ammunition initiative — Germany has secured funds and military equipment worth around €1 billion for Ukraine. Partly delivered, partly bound in contracts, which will be fulfilled this year or in the coming years. It was also recently stated that it is planned to restart the initiative to get more donations for Ukraine.
