Why is the mainstream media not reporting on this? 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska was stabbed to death on a Charlotte train by Decarlos Brown Jr., a homeless repeat offender with 14 prior arrests. President Trump was asked about the incident during a press briefing today and said he wasn’t aware but called it “horrible” and that he would know all about it tomorrow.

JUST IN: CMPD Body-Cam Shows Mental-Health Warnings From Decarlos Brown Jr. Months Before Fatal Light-Rail Stabbing In a newly released body-cam video, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are revealing that the man accused of k*lling 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska on the Lynx Blue Line showed signs of severe mental-health distress months before the fatal stabbing. In the January footage, Brown is heard making delusional claims that a “man-made material” was implanted in his body and insisting something was “controlling” him. Despite the behavior, Brown was released, and no long-term mental-health intervention occurred. On August 22, 2025, Brown fatally stabbed Zarutska on a CATS light-rail train in an unprovoked attack. He is now facing first-degree murder and federal mass-transit homicide charges.

One year ago today, Iryna Zarutska was stabbed to death on a Charlotte light-rail train by a career criminal set loose by Democrat soft-on-crime policies. Iryna would be alive today if it weren’t for these Democrat policies. Courts ruled that Decarlos Brown Jr. was “unfit” to stand trial. A grave miscarriage of justice. Now, on the one-year anniversary of her brutal murder, the Zarutska family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the city of Charlotte and its security contractor. We pray her family receives the justice they so rightfully deserve!
