Is anything missing from this solar eclipse? Do you recall ever seeing the approach and consequent exit of the moon, or just a black circle ⚫️ that appears and blocks out the sun? What is going on here, what do you think?

Use your brain. If the sun is behind the moon, the light from the sun is hitting the back side of the moon that we cannot see. The earth side of the moon isn’t illuminated by anything.

@rweb88 Use your brain: If the moon reflects sunlight to the earth, then the earth (which is more reflective than the moon because of water) should reflect and light the moon as well. But this is not the case is it.

It’s the moon that is blocking the sun. This isn’t hard to understand.

Looks like the sun is a hole and something is covering the hole from the other side…like a manhole cover… 🤷🏻‍♀️

NASA is disintegrating the moon in front of our eyes. It’s halfway gone.

Honestly I have always just noticed the circle, but now that it's been brought up and thought about... I do strongly ask why we don't see the approach of the moon? I was looking for the moon all day.....hours and hours before the eclipse. SHOULD be able to see moon approach
