Yes. Emotional intelligence is just another way for feminists to claim men aren't doing what they want. Maturity is important though and helps drive proper control of ones emotions.

My ex wife used to say “these are my feelings and feelings can’t be wrong.” When the thoughts behind the feelings are wrong then the feelings are wrong. Emotional intelligence is being able to recognize when the thoughts are wrong and not act on the wrong feelings.

My ex would get mad and ramble on about vague problems saying I wasn't being emotionally intelligent or I would understand why she was upset. I asked her to write down the problem to help me understand. She could NOT do it. They can't write it down.
