The richest nations in the world are Islamic states.

Yes, that’s absolutely true. Ghana's transformation should have begun during Jerry Rawlings' time, the same period when countries like Singapore, China, India, and Malaysia were all finding their footing. However, Rawlings, being uneducated, surrounded himself with sycophants who had no understanding of governance. The roots of Ghana's current issues can be traced back to his era. He shrouded himself in a cocoon fanning fear in Ghanaians which basicaly kept us oblivious of his flaws.

He’s right about the opportunity Rawlings had to make a profound change in the mindset of Ghanaians. And yes obsession with religion will prevent you from thinking critically. Religion in itself is a tool for control.

Every president have the chance to change Ghana.. they are just wicked and does not care about their people. Don’t limit it to one person

Clearly, he doesn’t understand democracy. China is very religious but very powerful so what’s he saying? The GHANAIAN problem is that we aren’t principled in governance. The more reason the Asantes and Akyems never understood Kwame Nkrumah.

Religion may hinder critical thinking only when you fail to understand the principle of balance where grace and effort work hand in hand. Depend on God, but be aware we all have a part to play in the physical world. Embrace spirituality, but remember there is time for everything.

The speaker’s tribes men were accusing Rawlings of k!lling pastors & the likes so what is he saying. People like this old ma are the problem of this country. Why should Rawlings be blamed for others f0lly? What he’s saying is h0gwash!

He's right for saying JJ should've change the nation. He's wrong for saying it is not God who gives us wisdom

He’s right to a certain degree (the Rawlings’ case study) but very wrong with the religious part. Ghanaians (and by large Africans) are not more religious than the Asians (China, India, Japan, Singapore, Arabs etc) yet, they’re counted among developed countries
