So, when I watch this, I see a woman who is ultimately telling her partner that she is going to do what she wants. She's the one doing OF, not him. She's the one stepping out, not him. So, when he finally gets the urge to try and make himself feel better and find comfort in someone else, she is going to lose her mind. And if he pushes back at all she will lose it even more for losing that control over him.
