It’s not his idea - along with @JohnHMCrichton we were promoting this a few years ago. Rounded tipped knives have been available for years. That said, don’t concentrate wholly on the weapon concentrate on the why? Addressing the causes is the only way to address violence

Yes. It is one thing a part of a jigsaw to help reduce knife crime. He knows it isn’t the only step that needs to be taken. Social media needs to remove videos of stabbing and there needs to be a ban in sellings machetes and swords on line.

We've been sharpening knives since the stone age, hell prisons have many who sharpen blunt objects into shanks, blunting knives is a bit of an idiotic idea.

We’re not a serious country. Shall we also blunt scissors, screwdrivers, pens, pencils, chopsticks, tent pegs and forks? There are hundreds of millions of knives in this country. Even if you blunted new ones you’d never be able to take all sharp tip knives out of circulation. So, so dumb.

Yes, especially in crimes of passion where there isn’t premeditation to prepare a lethal weapon. This would decrease fatalities.

Just try using it in the kitchen( what it's designed for) no de-boning, coring, or cutting out thos nasty bits on potatoes. How about reeducating kids not to be evil instead.
