By default, Android has an ecosystem of millions of apps, some of dubious quality. UT has a limited selection of apps. For my requirements, these have for the most part proven adequate, and using Libertine and a dock, you can have a Linux Desktop. I have used LOS for a number of years as I detest Apple and Google. They are apex predators in the Digital Panopticon. I like both LineageOS and Ubuntu Touch equally. If you have some spare shekels laying around, pick up a Fairphone. Great quality and a fucking removable battery...

I carried out an attack today on my iPhone 12 Pro using the flipper zero. The Flipper device has a feature in the BLE spamming app that exploits a zero-day vulnerability related to BLE spamming. It sends specific packets that trigger BLE pop-ups, causing the phone to crash and require a force reboot once it is locked. This vulnerability affects the latest iOS 17 versions. This right here is exactly what I felt when I tried switching my main phone from iPhone to Android last year. The apps on Android are so bad they don’t even feel like they’re made for your phone. Plus many apps on Android simply lack a lot of features compared to iOS. For example, on WhatsApp on iOS, I can quickly swipe left on a message in a group chat to see which members have received and/or read my message. On Android, it takes a long press and 2 additional taps to access the same info. This was such a deal breaker for me who’s in a lot of group chats.

Because of a bug in Android 8.0, it is possible to bypass lock-screen timeout and disable Android PIN/Password/Pattern using ADB commands In the video, I automatically tested 26 different PINs in a row without 30 seconds timeout being triggered. As a result, PIN was found and lock-screen protection removed. This bug was fixed in Android 8.1 and above OS versions. This method can be used only on devices with enabled debugging. More info:
