Does anyone ever feel the need to say "Christianity is a religion of peace"? No? Why is that? Could it be that it's self evident? Me thinks the (Muslim) lady protests too much.

The answer is no. Islam is a noun taken from the verb meaning to submit. There is no individual freedom of thought within Islam. Apostates are murdered infidels must convert or lose their lives. That is not a religion of peace.
