Rauf’s CNIC also confirmed that he is a member of PMML, the successor of MML, which was designated a terrorist organisation by the U.S. Department of State on 2 April 2018 as a front for Lashkar-e-Taiba. Why did Bilawal repeat busted propaganda? Was he simply unprepared, or did he deliberately attempt to deceive the international community? To add to this, Bilawal tried a second layer of deflection by suggesting that Pakistan probably has a similar name to one of the sanctioned individuals, as if this were merely an unfortunate coincidence or a rare occurrence. Not only did Bilawal fully know that the man in question is the same individual exposed earlier through matching CNIC records, but that the sanctioned terrorist he is referring to is also a Pakistani national.
