The beginning of this couture week has shown one more time HOW MUCH everything has already been invented, judging by the sheer amount of copies and plagiarism (or as we like to call it, ‘inspiration’).🪡 A copy of a copy of a copy — everywhere. Yes, it can be beautiful in some cases, but that doesn’t change the fact that there’s a lack of uniqueness and true creative genius. And so far only Daniel Roseberry shows what it’s like to be a REAL COUTURIER. I’m eagerly awaiting tomorrow’s debut Valentino Couture show under Alessandro Michele’s direction to satisfy my need for originality and distinctive design. Let’s see what Ludovic de Saint Sernin brings to Jean Paul Gaultier — I have some hopes for his fresh and daring perspective.
