Oh what a tangled web we weave... George Clooney's wife played a key role in getting the ICC to issue an arrest warrant for Netanyahu in 2024. Amal Clooney was one of the legal experts who convinced the ICC chief prosecutor that Netanyahu had committed war crimes. Based on her recommendations, the ICC issued an arrest warrant. Immediately after the news broke that the ICC was seeking an arrest warrant for Netanyahu, President Biden publicly condemned the ICC and the charges against Netanyahu. Biden: "Whatever these warrants may imply, there is no equivalence between Israel and Hamas." A little over a month after Biden's press conference, George Clooney wrote an Op-Ed slamming Biden's mental acuity and calling for him to drop out of the race. Yes, the debate had happened during that time but Clooney had also just held a big fundraiser for Biden. Perhaps Clooney called on Biden to drop out because of cognitive decline. And yet that's the lie that Biden began telling in 2024. Remember the outrage on CNN about it? Me neither. They just kept telling us how decent of a guy Biden is. This is the same Biden that was checking his watch during the dignified transfer of the servicemen and women who were lost in Afghanistan.
