Is it still classical guitar if it’s played on a futuristic-looking instrument? 🤔 This player is proving that the music matters more than the gear. The tone, the technique, and that beautiful phrasing are all there — just on a very modern axe. Classical guitar isn’t about the shape...

🎸 The Çağlama is an electric Turkish instrument blending bağlama tradition with electric guitar design. Invented by Ömür Kılıçaslan, it uses guitar strings and pickups on a bağlama-like neck, creating a hybrid sound that bridges Anatolian folk and modern electrified music.

Ever wondered what Johann Sebastian Bach’s 1723 music would sound like without a modern piano? This video recreates that authentic sound with a classical piece played on an antique instrument featuring uniquely inverted key colors. The tone is rustic, crisp, and entirely different from the pianos of today.

The main riff sounds like a bass guitar, but it's actually played on a guitar with a pedal that lowers the octave

This broke kid walks into a guitar shop, picks up a cheap $50 axe, and starts ripping like the world has never heard anything like it — the shop guys just stare while the young Jimi Hendrix turns a simple blues progression into pure electricity. From there it’s photos of him as a baby, on the road, in the army, until he’s lighting stages on fire and changing music forever. Would you ever believe a broke kid with a cheap guitar could change the world like that?

“It’s one of those thing[s] where I don’t know what it is I like about it, but there’s something I like about it very much. It’s an emotional reality; it isn’t linguistics. It’s something about that moment of the soul. To have those words coming out of my mouth puts me in a very specific place, and there’s a certain authenticity there that I didn’t want to disturb. By keeping it simple it allows what actually produced the song to be visible as possible to the listener, so just the song is there.” - Jerry Garcia Robert Hunter and Jerry Garcia’s “Standing On The Moon” made its live debut in February 1987 at Oakland’s Henry J. Kaiser Convention Center and was played regularly throughout the Grateful Dead’s touring career. It was later released on the album ‘Built to Last,’ becoming a fan favorite, notable for Jerry’s stellar, liquid-like guitar playing. Enjoy this solo moment captured during the Dead’s show in July 1989 at JFK Stadium.

Made a guitar cover of Silverpoint from #OneShotGame This was another song that felt right to play on the guitar since the original song was already just a guitar vst/midi.
