Is it wrong for Christians to use swear words?

This is good. Though I would say Christians who swear excessively demonstrate lack of self-control

If that were my way of thinking about things, I may as well be an atheist. Swearing is a loss of control of yourself, a mini breakdown, which is why you'll have a tough time stopping it, it took me a year. See @PageauJonathan's deeper explanation about it.

The only people trying to justify profanity are potty-mouthed "Christians" themselves. Even unbelievers recognize crude language as vulgar and inappropriate. If the world knows better, shouldn't God's people? "I tell you that on the day of judgment, people will give an account for every worthless word they speak" (Mt 12:36).

I have absolutely no issue using them or hearing them. But there’s a point where it’s unbecoming. Sometimes they can be used to emphasize a point, which can be useful. But if I’m around another Christian and it makes them stumble, I will not use them at all. That’s part of why I try not to use them on here. A bunch of Christians who have problems with it, I don’t want to unnecessarily upset them.

Great video Follow your convictions. you can use “swear words” to build people up and tear them down For example : “Good job Billy you’re the shit !” As opposed to “Billy you did a shit job “
