$20 (~3100 yen) for Ramen here in Brooklyn NY It’s a travesty. And inflation always hits the wages last. It hits housing and food first. Relative to my city, Tokyo is still a great value even for Japanese wages.

It's cheap depending on your home currency. Just like USD, Yen is going through accelerating hyperinflation. All thanks to you know who and who.

Lool at the cost of housing in Japan, compared to the West. Compare rent in Osaka or Tokyo, to an Amsterdam, London, or Paris. Compare prices of a McDonald's meal in Japan vs Europe. I know inflation hits hard to Japan right now. Still, it's paradise compared to elsewhere.
