Today is #WorldCancerDay and this is Liz, in a video recorded just days after she had been told she had Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumour. She knew her cancer had a five year survival rate of just 15% but as she made this video for her peers to support her application for head student she reassured them she would be fine. Liz died less than 10 months after this video was made, exactly 10 months after she was diagnosed. Aged 17. Liz was passionate about changing the world for others, in her life as you will hear in this video and in her death by donating her body to Glasgow University for research. Liz was amazing. She battled so hard but without a treatment that is effective against DSRCT she was fighting a battle she couldn’t win. Please help us change things for others. We have just a week to find a home trial or a long term foster for precious Cinder 🙏🐶 Cinder has been a dream in foster, her foster family can’t praise her enough. She is no trouble in the home and just wants to be with her humans. Cinder needs someone to be home all the time, she only feels safe when someone is with her. As the sun sets she’s on her final stretch of her run and she’s approaching where she started out again. She sees two men on the sidewalk and right as she is about to run past them they try to grab her and take her, one of the men lunge at her as to almost tackle her and stop her in her tracks. Even after running for miles she musters up the strength in her to run away as fast as she can. It’s safe to say this is why people use treadmills but if this was you would this discourage you from running outside again, what would you do?
