There's such bias for old players. Not to take anything away from them, but they all played in a time where goalies were terrible, defensemen weren't good, and scoring was wide open. What guys like Crosby have been able to accomplish in today's game deserves its credit. So yes.

I’m a caps guy who absolutely despise’s Crosby and even I can say he’s a better overall hockey player than Ovie. Ovie is best goal scorer of all time but the game is so much more than scoring goals. Sid does everything at the highest level so it’s hard to argue him not being top5

Imagine he got to play in his prime in this new easy scoring era the 2000s was the lowest scoring era ever and he still put up over 120 points now in the nhl it’s getting easier and easier to score

If Ovi breaks the record it’s Ovi>Sid. It’s hard for people to accept but what’s Sid’s legacy? At max probably gets to 8-9 all time in points. 3 cups doesn’t make you the best winner ever. What is Sid objectively the best at in nhl history?
