Is Steven Pinker right that although the arts have been captured, the sciences are not yet full of "woke ideologues with contempt for truth, evidence & common sense"?

@sapinker Will watch. In my experience, though, when science-related issues become political, most people (including most scientists and physicians) abandon scientific thinking and simply adopt the beliefs that will allow them to keep their worldview and their party allegiance intact.

@sapinker Pinker? Well, "What is a woman?" tends to quickly sort the idiot class out from real scientists ... oops there falls deGrasse Tyson also, maybe no surprises, but Science is absolutely and fully captured by woke cultism for it's gone way beyond just tribalism now. The dissonance!

This is really good. As someone who spent 10 years in academia and research prior to my 25 years in medicine I seen the devolution he describes. Each of the points he makes is factually based, rationally and dispassionately argued with unassailable logic. But alas the wokesters and politically blinded will never listen - Even though he’s a “liberal” he’s sinned by opposing the tribal covid dogma and by accepting a stint in the FDA in a failed attempt to reform the captured big pharma drug approval process. I hope he’s right that eventually there will be meaningful reforms but I agree with him that it will likely get worse first.
