nah luck is the biggest factor by far even in your own example, how did the 1k viewer streamer find/decide to raid?

I would argue otherwise, Luck is a huge factor in the beginning to even catch the attention of others, there are people right here in the community who have started recently (I’m talking less than a couple months) and put less effort and are way bigger than others I know who have been in this space for years. If that’s not luck I don’t know what is

If they leave, they leave, and if they stay, they stay. You can't keep all of them. They didn't come just for you. A lot of them only care about that creator or only had time to watch that creator. It's not your fault or responsibility if they stay or leave. That's how i see it.

I got raided with 1500 viewers and kept them on my stream for around 4-5 hours until the numbers started to dip I think my issue is really discoverability

I would say, it‘s based on luck a little bit. Especially on platforms like twitter where the algorithm favors some people more and they suddenly blow up and get 10k Follows in a DAY. Ofc on Twitch it is harder to keep them but to be raided is also based on luck (because the person has to find you first) and I think it is hard to be found if you are in the lower viewer sectors since Twitch places you at the bottom of a category! So yeah, I think luck still plays a big role in some aspects! But of course staying consistent and hard work is also important, and keeping the new viewers too!

Luck plays a role, but quality and consistency don’t care about luck. Eventually, you make your own. Nothing in this world happens without action ⚡️

As someone who is always on the unlucky side - luck is a big role TBH. However if you don’t have a good foundation luck can only take you so far.

I think it's one of, but if you stay consistent and keep your spirits high, I'm sure you'll crush it! ✨💪😄 Keep going! Cheers!!! 🍻🎉 (ノ´ヮ`)ノ*:・゚

It’s funny I see this after reviewing my year 1 🌠 I agree that luck isn’t everything. If one is relying on luck they are unlikely to succeed. 🌠 to overcome chances we should “stack” the deck in our own way. For example, diversifying platforms, finding our niche, being as consistent as possible. I do find the example of being raided by a thousand to be ridiculous, but I understand the point 🌠Good advice! Thank you🌠
