Is “Sùúrù” a Yorùbá word?
10 Kommentare

Sùúrù is a Yoruba word with complete Yoruba diacritics far from Sabr (Arabic translation). I think the teacher made a mistake. Even if a word has a root in Arabic or English like àdúrà or ìrẹsì, they are still yoruba words like many English words are rooted in Greek or French…

Yes it’s a Yoruba word now, there’s no crime in borrowing, other languages borrow words too, especially English

It's "Ayalo ede." Borrowed language

Your name should be bolanle omo yibo oni story. Thank you

I will disagree with this 💯. Sabr is the meaning of Suuru in Arabic. I’m not sure what language Suuru is if it’s not a Yoruba language

Yeah, learnt that in I think Jss2… Suuru, Alubosa, Adura, Albarika, Fitila and some others I can’t exactly remember

@grok is Sùúrù a Yorùbá word?

He’s caping. Suuru is as yoruba as any other word. He might as well say alubosa is not a yoruba word na.
