Palestinians in Gaza want to go back to their homes in the North. Demolished or not is irrelevant. The people want to be in their neighborhoods around their family and friends. They find solace and comfort in the familiar and with an ongoing genocide, the least we can do is provide that. For the families in the South to move back to the North, there needs to be water and food. Unfortunately mutual aid groups are struggling to collect funds and international aid organizations are nowhere to be seen. Honestly, there’s no point in trying to talk someone into feeling compassion. If there’s no room in your heart for Ukraine and our people right now, when things are this hard... it’s probably never going to be there. Love and empathy - they’re either there or they aren't. Simple as that.
