Law enforcement should be doing this, not the citizens - when did it become okay to sit in the middle of the street and block people from going to work, to medical appointments, job interviews, et cetera?

I see no issue with drivers exercising free speech by removing a handful of protestors blocking the road during the exercise their free speech. Of course, the reason for blocking the street at all is lost within the justifiable context of drivers moving idiots out of their way.

No law enforcement should be arresting these people. Blocking a public road is illegal in every U.S. state unless you have an official permit authorizing the closure. The fact that they are impeding people from going to work. Throw in medical staff, medical emergencies, food service people And so fourth. Each one of them should go to jail and fined heavily for this. The punishment?? Community service!! Working in hospitals, food service lines, picking up trash on the very roads they sat on. Caring for the homeless. Etc

What motivated them to sit in the road to block traffic? What point were they trying to make? It would be very annoying if you were late for an appointment because of a street “sit in”. Maybe place something around their neck like a tire boot that can’t come off unless you go to the police station. That would certainly be equally as annoying to them.
