Seven bucks on Amazon.

U just seen Sumbody do it and the first thing you ask is … is this actually possible? This why I hate mfs on the internet 🤣🤣

Since the hammer head is not forged, but instead made up of individual coins with irregular surfaces heated together, the hammer is likely to not last repeated Hitting and will probably fall apart… 🤷♂️

Possible, but I don't know why you would. You can buy soft-faced hammers with anything from nylon to bronze relatively cheap.

it's possible but an horrible idea. The solder wasn't warm enough to melt the zinc of the coins together. It will sooner than later crack and let the coins go loose. It would be much wiser to smelt it back in one piece.

Or?? You could have just gone down to your local hardware store and bought a hammer! Nice video though!

That’s called a Double Quarter Pounder…

I am trained as a metalsmith. Is it possible? Absolutely. Would I recommend actually doing it? No, not really. If you are going to make a brass hammer, you are going to be better off starting with solid brass stock than brazing coins together.

No unfortunately things are not possible

Quarter pounder

A sixteen penny hammer driving 16 penny nails?

It's art. Would you sail a painting in the ocean?

@Texas4Trump_24 👍

@Texas4Trump_24 Exactly.

WOW

Yes"

coinhammer, lvl 100 mace -1 physical damage -gives 1000 gold per hit -+200% to the amount of gold dropped by enemies -has a 95% chance per hit to summon a jew to fight alongsides you

I just wasted 1:15 of my life and I’m wasting EVEN MORE TIME TYPIN THIS HOLY

It’s only as strong as the solder…

isn't this literally illegal?

And I thought it was going somewhere. ffs joke’s on me

No idea

That's a specialty tool- for sixteen penny nails.

Of course it's possible, this is how coin hammers are made.

It was so ugly

Possible doesn't mean you should

if it was actual copper I dont see why not. But I wouldnt trust it to stay together. Instead of all this crap just get a solid piece. Plus you would more than likely want brass anyways.

Well, not in the U.K. they are steel. I own copper hammers. Only used brass bar as a drift (dumb end chisel). If they had a handle it was steel rod wrapped around them so your work mate didn’t smash you hand with a sledge hammer :D

costs less than a normal hammer

Is his name Maxwell?

I've tried similar approaches and wasted weeks. Sometimes the simplest solution is best.

It'd snap where the shaft meets the metal

I don’t think so. What do you think @ryenarussillo ?

@DawnsMission Just buy a hammer from Home & Bargain for £4.99 instead of doing all that bollox. It's only to hammer nails with ffs.
