This one’s wilder than most realise. Jervis Bay Territory isn’t just a defence base - it’s a full-blown Commonwealth territory. Not part of NSW. Not part of ACT. No state. No council. No parliament. Votes in ACT elections, runs on NSW laws, governed by Canberra. And it’s not alone. Norfolk Island, Christmas Island, and the Cocos Islands have stripped or limited self-rule also - run under imported laws from NSW or WA. So it feels like a Mandela Effect… but it’s actually just deliberate omission by the system, not collective memory failure. The real trick? We don’t live in a federation. We live in a patchwork quilt of convenience

#ExtraCancha HUBO REUNIÓN 🙌 La noche de ayer, el presidente Trump anunció que tendría una reunión con Canadá y México la mañana de hoy. ¿Qué se sabe? Te lo contamos. 👇 #Trump #Sheinbaum #Aranceles

I distinctively remember been taught at school in the 70s that there was 52 stars on the American flag, one for each state.

Bloody hell! What does it say about Norfolk Island?

I think I’ll look into getting rego down there 🤣😎

Can we form a government there ?

The British Ensign "AUSTRALIA" is not a Nation but HMAS Company (Dictator)Ship moored in Norfolk Island beholden to Admiralty MARITIME LAW OF THE SEA, Registered CORPORATE ENTITY: THE COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA INC, U.S. SECURITIES STOCK EXCHANGE.

My first thought was the military base..

Have you noticed this “Government state” Govern mental state

I’ve always know Jarvis Bay is a Territory as I learnt that at school.
