That to me is blue or "British style". I'd eat that in a heartbeat. Could have some extra searing on the outside but I bet the inner temp is just perfect. This is the perfect temp if the quality of your meat is Prime or better.

My guess would be the steak was still frozen in the middle. Probably needed to thaw a bit longer

100% I knew it when I took it out / but still could’ve kept it on longer because the sear wasn’t close to charred at all so I had time
