🚨Update on this post from a Brighton Facebook user: Claire Sheldon is an amazing volunteer who helps so many birds who are sick, injured, or just need to be moved to a safer place. She came to my flat to put some squabs in a higher place so they didn’t drown in the heavy rain that flooded my back yard where they were nesting, unfortunately 2 others drowned and she kindly took them away for me. She’s so kind and really cares about the birds xx Hope we can all relax now!

MISSION X UK The number of videos I am seeing of people catching things like swans, ducks, pigeons, and gulls is shocking. What will it be next, a robin or a sparrow as an appetiser? There are even rumours that cats and dogs could be on the menu, although for now they remain only rumours. There was a time when the authorities would have acted on this, but with the decay of society, nothing is being done. Like so many other things, we are probably being conditioned to see this as normal behaviour.

I hope whoever filmed this rescued this seagull.

Why is no one stopping her? Blows me away that people watch and do nothing It’s also our swans, ducks and carp! Our wildlife is not on the menu without a permit!

This is an animal carrier bag. And she is very careful with the bird. This is clearly a rescue.

According to Facebook, the woman works for one of the local wildlife rescue organisations and the seagull she took had a bad foot. It hasn't been confirmed how true that is, but I'd like to hope it is.

The woman is known for helping sick birds. She is well known for this. She could help you.

Anyone with half a brain knows you most likely die or get incredibly ill from eating seagull. Reckon it’s injured and being taken to a vet or something

Why does no one ever do anything? We do have animal welfare laws in this country and seagulls are protected. You are well within your right to intervene if a crime is being committed and even to make a citizen’s arrest. Don’t just stand there watching someone abuse animals.

I've seen this woman before. That's why no one is intervening. She rescues wild life and animals. A very caring kind hearted woman.

I witnessed a Pakistani man doing this in Corporation St on n Birmingham 20 years ago. He was grabbing pigeons, tying their legs together and stuffing them in a plastic bag.

If anyone sees these subhumans doing this and don’t feel comfortable intervening then film them and also call the police. They’re breaking the law.

I jumped to conclusions after seeing so many disturbing videos of animals being taken . This is a Lady helping A injured bird , I apologize .
