Of course. Every adjustment in angle to any exercise is going to target slightly different muscles.

Similar to incline bench press, engages anterior delts and upper pecs more than paralell position.

Yeah it puts more strain on your shoulders and adds nothing

More hip flexors. Nothing wrong with that but it's less of an ab isolation.

Just do it from a standing position if you can

Reefboy1980's profile picture

It’s bound to be harder as the incline is more & looks like way more flexion, my spine would say hell no to that lol

100% easier, you basically remove the tension and stretch for 60% of the movement. Hips entire lower half of the body is getting a break. Also we don’t if something is holding her feet. Using the feet to help plant takes away from the core work.

It’s easier. So you can start a progression from there until you can do it on flat ground. Progressive work matters.

Ab exercises though

I would think this one would be better overall because of the longer continuous movement by be less effective in isolating certain areas of the abdominals

As far as ab isolations go, doing decline rolls or any angle manipulation doesn't make it better. But the recruitment of muscles shifts it more to the soulders and upper pec. Just do incline bench ffs. to overload the abs use weighted vests or utilize resistance bands.

Do pushups on the ground. Do pushups with your hands elevated on a bench. Do pushups with your feet elevated on the bench.

yeah this might actually be harder on the pull back, easier on the roll out tho since you're on a tilt

Unnecessary stress on shoulders but respect. Depends on the individual

I use the ab roller and doing roll outs eventually became easy...so now, I do extended holds with roller for 1 min each for 3 sets and this is very challenging and creates tension in shoulder, back, and triceps
