I think he's playing but that is about as intimidating as it gets

I would not like it. I am dominant though. 😂

Hes probably been riling to dog up rough housing for a bit before he started videoing. This looks like playing to me. I’ve had 5 rotties and when you rough house with them they play like this. If the dog was mad, it would have bit him already

Makes sense!

@Z4USA Training is definitely in order.

@Z4USA The guy is a dog trainer and he thinks he is doing a good job. He has tons of videos. That dog to me is asserting dominance.

@Z4USA I would be scared of it tbh.

@Z4USA Very unsettling!

Thats dangerous. The dog is trying to be the Alpha and the pack leader…not good. The position the dog is displayed dominance. Possessive and defensive…face to face is highly defensive…that dog will turn on him or others

I agree!

Yeah I have a dog like that but we established who is the alpha and pack leader….and it’s a female so …just a tough dog with an excellent calm grip

@CoVet_81 I’ve owned Rottweilers, if that dog really wanted to fuck him up it would have been done already. Probably just testing the waters.

@CoVet_81 My daughter and her husband own one! My son and law would NEVER allow this behavior.

@CoVet_81 Neither would I, mine knew the boundaries. We would play rough but if they thought they stepped over the line they were instantly kissing up. They are very smart dogs and very loyal. Love kids too.

@SaltyBitch_52 This dog thinks he’s the alpha and that “trainer” is his beta bitch.

Had a friend who had a Rot…vicious dog but she didn’t see it. One day I see ambulances at her house. Her own dog mauled her to death. You humans keep thinking you’re in control, time will tell….

This guy has ZERO clue what he's doing He fancies himself as a trainer does he? He's not. Sad thing is, that dog will end up being surrendered and unadoptable. Or worse, damaging a human or someone else's pet because he's uncontrolled and untrained. People like that shouldn't be allowed to have dogs let alone claim to be a trainer. Frankly I hope that dog gets taken from him and homed to someone who can train him before it's too late.

It’s not playing, that dog believes it’s number 1 in the hierarchy. I’d put him in the cage until he begs me to get out.

They are playing! Both loving it. No aggression. Does the guy look scared? You should hear a Great Dane playing, growling, climbing over back like that. But no jumping on people; he will jump up 6 feet, come down 6 inches from you, but never touch you. He's not allowed to lean on me or the girls. Boys get shoved around a bit playing, but not knocked over. A 170 lb dog must be polite, follow rules cause he loves you, wants to please you. I can't shove him around, but don't have to.

My Rottweilers are trained to show aggression on command. They are also trained to stand down on command. Which is why you treat them like a loaded gun. You can also walk up to them with any age kid, have them pull on their ears, tail, scream, cry, ride them like a horse, and they love every minute, because that's the way they were raised and trained. 😉

I’ve owned Rotties forever. I think this guy has him doing this for clicks. Briefly watched some videos and he seems like he’s a trainer. If this is how they play, helllll no in my house. We rough around too and they do little growling on tug of war but there would never be teeth shown in my direction. Ever. Play or not. Nope.

no not normal behavior that dog either needs better training or it has some trauma from possibly past abuse as notweilers often abused by people so if that dog had a family abuse it before it was his then that could also explain it’s behavior

AnnieGotAGun's profile picture
AnnieGotAGun10 months ago

Whether or not it's normal, I don't know. I just know it is not the kind of behavior I would be comfortable with. Inbreeding can make all kinds of animals crazy. Everyone should be happy with a mutt. 🤗❤️ If you don't believe me about the inbreeding, just look at the Somalis. They don't look right either.

I know some dogs are trained to show aggression on command and can turn it off on command, I know dogs growl when play fighting, playing tug of war etc but will turn it off immediately when you stop playing with them. But something about this seems off, I wouldn’t trust this dog.

From someone that raised them and bred them, you better get a handle on that quickly or u will not have a good relationship with that dog. If they think they can be ur leader they will run over u and the aggression will get worse

What an absolute total idiot! You never play around w/ a dog like that I don’t give a shit what anyone says. I’ve worked w/ dogs daily since 1988 & this guy is asking for it. So messed up!!!

You don't "play" like THIS, with a breed of this caliber. It escalates.. FAST.
