It is heavy and whilst I've not fought a battle in chainmail, I have worn some for a 6 hour pub shift (for Halloween) I stopped noticing it after about 20 minutes and only felt how much lighter I was when I took it off at home.

yeah thats wild, have you heard this yet?

It left out the hair getting ripped out, the need for extra padding, and the belt needed to distribute the weight.

1) He isn't wearing a belt, you ALWAYS wear a belt. 2) He is doing it all himself. Knights had pages & squires. 3) That's lightweight shit, double thick triple riveted FULL mail is MUCH heavier, he is wearing a shirt. Who did that?

Wearing it and doffing it are not the same...

Largely yes

Depends. If it's a cheap mail, the hoops won't be closed and it'll rip all kinds of hair out as your using the piece, and removing it. But he looks like he put money on this and isn't suffering that issue, so yeah, pretty accurate. 😆

Uh, NO. You can lift mail off like a shirt and not wiggle like a dog trying to shake off water. And it wasn’t unusual to have a literal chainmail COAT that you could put on and take off like a modern coat, covering left flap with right. (not fastened with buttons of course).

yes.

There is chainmail and then there is a chain hauberk, one is much lighter and not nearly as protective as the other

…That’s fantasy stuff; Child.
