Is this true? You can guarantee a map vote by voting for the pre-flashed map while waiting in queue while being in a custom game?

Surprised he didnt know about the flashing map thing, that has been a thing for so long, i think it was in ow1 too. At the very least it was before map voting. Also a little fun fact, if you see a map not in the rotation, its the “random” map choice.

Tried it yesterday. You still see the map show up before the game but it’s not guaranteed to win the vote.

but now im curious if no one votes the map does it just spawn a vote to force it?

It does this with QP mystery heroes charcter select too, if you’re in the main screen with the last hero you played, it quickly glitches to the next hero you load into the next match.

ive been using this for ages, even before map votes (although it was useless then). Fun Fact: if the map doesnt appear in the voting, it will be the random map if picked. (im like 70% sure on this)

you can counter this bug by closing overwatch and opening deadlock

Yes this is real, played mercy parlour and every time before I landed in it'd flash a map, and the exact thing that happened to super also happened to me EVEN on random maps
