The sex discrimination act says in section 4(1) that gender identity is "the gender-related identity, appearance or mannerisms or other gender-related characteristics of a person (including the identity, appearance or mannerisms or characteristics of the kind referred to in paragraph (a), (b) or (c) of the definition of intersex)". Sure, it’s a nonsensical circular definition, but it’s THERE, so the SDC either accidentally misled or deliberately lied to the senate. And for what? So men in dresses can have pregnancy protections over lesbians having lesbian only events? (Men who claim to be lesbians is, literally, someone the SDC has argued for in federal court). 4/
