Is uranium the future of AI? As demand for cloud computing and AI models continues to explode, the real bottleneck is becoming power. That’s what led me to start looking at nuclear energy and uranium. Small modular reactors could become a major part of the solution, and if AI...

North American data center grid power demand reached roughly 64.4 gigawatts (GW) and consumes over 176 terawatt-hours (TWh) of electricity annually. Fueled aggressively by artificial intelligence, this capacity is projected to surge dramatically, scaling past 130–180 GW by 2030.

What led your desire for data centers, you said, was “beating the Chinese”….that was your sole motivation. Some of us care more for our land and our kids futures.

If @TerraPower can get the first SMR project to come in on time & close to on budget it sets the benchmark for SMR construction. It will give future projects the ability to more accurately estimate construction costs with power factored in.

Great point. Data centers are already straining grids. SMRs + nuclear could be the only scalable solution for AI compute in the next 5-10 years. Watching uranium stocks and nuclear tech closely for 2026.

One big problem of a Data Center is maintenance. I have a few general, high level guides that can help someone to develop software tools to make maintenance less problematic. I think most people use notes instead.

Let's hope not, Buddy! the future of powering ai, lies like a rug, thru it's teeth, in increasingly distributed power systems, which are independant of fuel used. the same thing that makes the intersnoot cool, and the same thing that makes blockchain, the same cool.
