Is Wolves vs. Stoke a derby? 😬

Stoke vs Derby means a bit to people in the moorlands/ashbourne cuz it’s pretty split imo. Wolves Stoke is bigger with slightly older people when it was the Staffs Derby

Anyone that’s been a Stoke v Wolves game knows there is genuine derby-like hatred between both clubs, and there’s trouble at every meeting.

Historically the Staffordshire derby so has more to it than your average Midlands derby. And there’s pretty much always an edge to these games on and off the pitch which backs that up. Much more so than Stoke v the Baggies.

Never a derby in a million years. On a list of clubs I care about stoke might be top 20.

Modern day Wolves fan doesn’t class it as a derby as we rarely play each other. The rest would class it as a derby even if it isn’t in the top 5 in terms of rivalry in the league
