He was gonna be, then Gege thought he was too generic and made Yuji instead, putting Yuta in the background still but not in the spotlight.

Bruh Yuta makes a better MC definitely, I think he’s more interesting than the main cast including his classmates maki,inunaki, etc… but def makes moments that happen later in the manga more interesting when you see his growth (Yuji)
