Isaac Jones has one of the most unique paths among this year’s NBA Draft class. He was cut from his 8th-grade team, didn’t play AAU basketball, and worked as a truck loader after high school before landing at Wenatchee Valley CC. Jones played three seasons of JUCO hoops before moving on to Idaho and then Washington State, where he helped the Cougars reach the NCAA Tournament. He presents a rather unique skill set in the front court, largely due to his late-blooming trajectory. He was 5'11" as a sophomore in high school, grew to 6'4" by the end of high school, and continued to grow through college –– measuring 6'7 ¾" without shoes at the NBA Draft Combine. Kasparas Jakucionis is still one of my favorite players in the 2025 NBA Draft. I get the concerns over the drop off in his shot late in the year, but everything about his game screams that he's a pro. Jakucionis is one of the most versatile and creative on-ball creators in this class. His footwork, use of angles, balance, and change of pace is a nightmare for defenses to deal with. He showed dynamic shot making all year and was tremendous at the rim (61.8% on halfcourt layups). Don't overthink one of the most creative and malleable players in this draft.
