They keep saying Islam is feminist, empower women, and came to replace Jahiliah (ignorance) of pre-Islam. Is this true? What do we know about women rights before Islam? Despite all attempts to distort history, Islamic sources get busted as liars when any decent person examines the life story of Khadijah - Muhammad's first wife. Khadijah was an independent business woman, she was the richest of Quraishi tribes, she had the largest convoy of camel who traded with Palestine and Syria, had married two men before Muhammad, she choose her own husbands, in fact she choose Muhammad who was HER OWN EMPLOYEE! When her husbands died, she inherited every penny. She did not need a guardian but Muhammad did require a guardian for himself to marry her! Muhammad never dared to marry on her while she was alive. What Muhammad did after he took control? Women to stay at home, cover from head to toe, not allowed to engage in business on their own, have to ask male guardian to get married, get least inheritance, subordinate to men... Demolition of Women's rights. But we need to buy the story that the pagans of Arabia buried baby girls alive... We, in Islam, bury them for life....Hamdullah. So, anyone who tells you Islam is feminist, just run by them these verses and see them squirm: Sahih al-Bukhari 2658 Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri: The Prophet (pbuh) said, "Isn't the witness of a woman equal to half of that of a man?" The women said, "Yes." He said, "This is because of the deficiency of a woman's mind." And what happens if she does not listen? Husbands may hit their wives if they merely fear arrogance: The Qur'an in Surah 4:34 says: ..... Those from whom you fear arrogance, admonish them and desert them in the bed and beat them. Then, if they obey you, do not look for any way against them. Allah is High, Great. A husband has sex with his wife, as a plow goes into a field. The Qur'an in Surah 2:223 says: Women are your planting place; come then to your planting place as you please .... Husbands are a degree above their wives. The Qur'an in Surah 2:228 says: Divorced women shall wait by themselves for three periods... But men have a degree above them. Allah is Mighty and Wise. A male gets a double share of the inheritance over that of a female. The Qur'an in Surah 4:11 says: "Allah charges you concerning your children, for a male like the share of two females....." Slave-girls are sexual property for their male owners. The Qur'an in Surah 4:24 says: And (forbidden to you) are married women, except those whom your righthand owns (slaves). Such Allah has written for you... A man may be polygamous with up to four wives The Qur'an in Surah 4:3 says: If you fear that you cannot act justly towards the orphans, then marry such women as seem good to you; two, three, four of them.... Mature men are allowed to marry prepubescent girls: "As for your women who no longer menstruating, if you are in doubt, then their waiting period is three months as well as those who have not yet menstruated....." Quran 65:4 Still want to claim Islam is feminist? Stop being ridiculous!! You can read a whole chapter from our book (on progress) on women's rights in Islam:

"Men are the caretakers of women, as men have been provisioned by Allah over women and tasked with supporting them financially." (Quran 4:34) "But the men/husbands have a degree over them in responsibility and authority." (Quran 2:228)

Most definitely. A lot of people don’t know this but Islam gave women the right to own property, inherit, seek education, consent in marriage, and be treated with dignity LONG before west talked about women’s right.

Yes, Islam gave women rights…just not the right to leave the house without a male guardian, drive (in some places), or question their husband without ‘discipline.’ Revolutionary stuff. 😂

If women's rights equate to right-hand possessions, wife beating, child marriage, and being up to one of four wives to a single husband, then sure, woman's rights are Islamic.

The fact of the matter is that Islam is the only religion that gives women equal rights to men.
