It is critically important for Ukraine that partner support continues – steady defense assistance and reinforcement of our air defense. Almost every day, lives in Ukraine are under threat because of Russian attacks and strikes using various types of weapons against our people. This week alone, Russia launched more than 1,070 guided aerial bombs, nearly 1,000 attack drones, and six missiles against Ukraine. Everything agreed with our partners must be accelerated as much as possible. Every missile for air defense systems that is currently held in storage by partners can truly save lives. Stability and predictability of assistance to Ukraine are what can really push Moscow toward diplomacy. We count on continued defense assistance and support for the prepared documents on security guarantees by the United States, Europe, and partners within the Coalition of the Willing. I am grateful to everyone around the world who, through their strength, helps diplomacy and all efforts toward a just peace.

This past week alone, the Russians have launched 1,920 attack drones, 1,790 guided aerial bombs, and 17 missiles of various types against Ukraine. We need to step up our countermeasures against these attacks. We are preparing for meetings with partners to strengthen our defense against this Russian terror. The G7, EU, and NATO summits are ahead. And it is very important that these negotiations result in concrete decisions. We expect meaningful meetings with our partners. First and foremost, we need support for air defense and our long-range capabilities, an expansion of cooperation in the Drone Deals format, and further strengthening of sanctions pressure on Russia. We must end this war in a dignified way and with guaranteed security. And it is through strength, the unity of partners, and pressure on Russia that this can be achieved in a lasting way. Yesterday’s Russian strike on Kharkiv sadly took the lives of two people. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Around 30 people were wounded—all have received the necessary medical assistance. I thank our rescuers and medics who work every day for our people. Over the past week, most regions of Ukraine have come under attack: 1,310 Russian guided aerial bombs, over 1,000 attack drones—mostly "Shaheds"—and 9 missiles of various types, including ballistic ones. A significant number were successfully shot down by our air defense warriors, mobile fire groups, and all units involved in protecting our skies. Russia is dragging out the war, and we are providing our partners with full information on the strikes the Russian army is carrying out and the actions it is preparing for. We expect a response from the United States, Europe and all our allies to this terror against our people. I thank all the leaders and states who understand this and continue their support. The stability and predictability of support for Ukraine are crucial. I am grateful to every country that helps us with air defense systems and investing in our defense industry—all of this helps protect Ukraine.
