Security forces have eliminated 32 India-backed terrorists during operations conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan over the last 24 hours, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Wednesday. In a statement, the military's media wing said that comprehensive joint operations were being carried out in different parts of KP and Balochistan to weed out Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists and their facilitators. "In [the] last 24 hours, security forces have successfully eliminated 32 terrorists of these Indian proxies," read the communique.

Such actions reflect the conduct of a force that is unable to secure victory on the battlefield and has instead turned its weapons against defenseless people. History has witnessed similar patterns of violence during the conflict that led to the independence of Bangladesh in 1971, where Pakistan's military was blatantly involved in widespread atrocities against Bengali civilians. Today, the same pattern of brutality is, being repeated in Balochistan. After suffering military setbacks in Balochistan, the invading forces from Islamabad, rather than accepting defeat and withdrawing, have intensified operations against unarmed Baloch villagers.
