Murray, Raymond Arroyo, Peter Kwasniewski etc, etc, etc: Yes, the immediately critical issue, the eternally consequential issue, is whether or not confessions made to SSPX excommunicated priests are valid. The Vatican says, no, they are not. With this you (pl), Rorate Caeli, Infovaticano etc have a canonical quibble. Are you (pl) so careless of your own salvation that you would dare to say to 700,000 souls, effectively, that you have examined these documents, found them wanting and, don't worry about it, your confessions are valid. Are you out of your mind? Don't you see the peril that you are encouraging many people to risk? This is confessional matter. How lightly you run along the edge of the precipice, but it is a dangerous, dangerous business. "It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God" says St. Paul and that is not a risk worth running, not for anything.

After Mass celebrated by an elderly priest, he led prayers for the intercession of Our Lady of Perpetual Help for our country. It's as if nothing happened.
