Corruption at the @City_Ekurhuleni started escalating after they hired the mastermind who is good with manipulating books and rigging tenders and prepares everything fir submission to AGSA as he is a former auditor who was headhunted to ensure everything looks clean on paper. Fikile talks about cooking of financial books and books not balancing. Is that not the responsibility of the CFO that got promoted to being a City Manager even though the finances of Ekurhuleni were in a bad state. 1. @AuditorGen_SA raised very alarming issues about financial controls and tender irregularities and mentioned so many projects in Ekurhuleni where wasteful expenditure took place. CFO got promoted to City Manager. Even when the City got an adverse audit finding by AG; the reward was the City Manager role 2. National Treasury, Parliamentary SCOPA and Auditor General raised a serious issue of an unfunded budget which resulted in revenue shortfall. The same CFO got promoted to City Manager. 3. Fikile Mbalula is the beneficiary of monthly allowance received from proceeds of money laundering from the City of Ekurhuleni in access of R5million monthly allowance from Kagiso Lerutla hence he keeps wuoet when all these corruption, tender rigging and revenue shortfall, unfunded budgets are taking place which are all the responsibility of the CFO in terms of financial controls and oversight. The revoked J50s for the various arrests of Kagiso Lerutla was negotiated by Fikile Mbalula using his relationships within the law enforcement agencies as he is the beneficiary of the corruption taking place there. He screams EFF but yet he is literately a financial shareholder where even other ANC MECs and Ministers get monthly allowances out of the money laundered at the City of Ekurhuleni.
