The whole heaven/hell thing is a spiritual bribe. It is literally just abuse. “Do what I say, or be punished and degraded forever”

When I was in Catholic grade school, the nuns talked about how heaven was a wonderful place and we would be happy all the time. All I could think was that sounds so boring, sitting on fluffy clouds, playing music and singing songs to God? Forever is a really long time.

Both answers are correct.

"Ticket out of hell" is *precisely* the chief reason that Christianity is taught to people. It's the reason for proselytizing and missionary work. It's drilled into kids from the get-go.
