Crucifixion was the Roman Empire’s most brutal form of execution—reserved for slaves, rebels, and the worst criminals. It was designed not just to kill but to humiliate and terrify. Victims were flogged first, tearing flesh and muscle, then forced to carry a heavy wooden crossbeam to the execution site. Nails, often 5–7 inches long, were driven through the wrists and feet, fastening the body to the cross. Asphyxiation was common, as the body weakened and the victim could no longer push up to breathe. Death could take hours or even days. Romans placed crosses in public places to serve as a warning: defy Rome, and this is your fate. Yet Jesus, the sinless Son of God, submitted to this torture willingly—not for crimes He committed, but to bear the punishment for our sins. His death turned a symbol of shame into one of hope. It fulfilled ancient prophecy and demonstrated the depth of God’s love.

Christ death Firstly symbolizes our salvation into life(Kingdom of God) Secondly who died the most gruesome death to demonstrate courage and encourage us, he so also felt our pain to show us, there’s no pain we can’t overcome. In Christ we are strong

This was the most thought provoking and beautiful explanation of scripture I’ve ever heard! Who is he?
