We were in the middle of saving our old farmhouse pergola replacing the tired supports with fieldstone pillars and rough-cut cedar for the new outdoor kitchen. I told them two days ago the temporary bracing didn’t look strong enough. Woke up to this. Not my favorite way to be right 😔 So yes, this is my official announcement: we’re hiring a full-time carpenter with great pay and benefits. Must love old houses, cabins, old-fashioned woodwork, and doing things properly.
