It got incredibly scary for a while as he started doing himself more damage and bleeding from paw and mouth. Luckily that was his last fight. He was exhausted. People might have suggestions but trust me with a dog trying to take ur arm off a lot goes out...

One of the hardest street dog catches ever today. This is Mr Anthony Hopkins. Believe it or not this is the 2nd time I’ve had to rescue him. He is in agony. So much so he was ready to snap arms off… (1/9) 🧵

We actually fixed him this time last year. This was the transformation. We put him back with medicines and looking spectacular to the restaurant he lives at. All seemed well but then I heard he had fallen on hard times again (2/9)

Anthony goes into absolute survival mode. He tries to chew through anything to escape. The staff tries twice last week with sedation but he was too aggressive (3/9)

I nearly had cornered today but he found a way out. I can’t explain how snappy and dangerous he is. In the dogs mind in this situation it’s life or death in their heads (4/9)

Most dogs give up in the net or the crate. Not Anthony. That’s only really when he started fighting. (5/9)

He nearly broke me physically with a cracked toe and a broken flip flop. Could be worse! Anthony is just in extreme pain and very scared. With a slip lead on it’s all manageable (7/9)

Back at base it was just as hard to get Anthony Hopkins out. The team had to put him under to start his treatment. A lot of stress for all involved but injections will help his skin and make him feel lovely. (8/9)

Never really met a fighter like Anthony. I respect him so much but he could have saved us a lot of bother jumping in the truck to come to the nice doggy spa! His recovery can start (again) now after a big sleep 🥰🙏 (9/9)

After the adrenaline of getting Anthony in my body shut down. You can see how sick I look from posture in the pic. Had to go to hospital for tests. More here….

I, for one, totally get it. I’m good with little angry scared dogs and Anthony is quite dangerous here. God bless you for helping him no matter what.

Suggestions are always easier said than done. Just saying.
