Shannon Elizabeth on how she got the role of 'Buffy Gilmore' in "Scary Movie" (2000) despite the part being reserved for a blonde actress: "I remember reading the script of "Scary Movie" (2000) and I was being offered a different role and I read the script. I'm like, I like Buffy. She's funny. She had all these quirky lines. She had physical comedy. It was just something really different. And they said, "Well, you know, we want a blonde for that role. I don't know, but you can come in and audition for Keenan." I worked on the role and it was tough because it was my death scene. So, it's just a big monologue and then the monologue goes on to be just your head talking. And then I got a call that they said, "Okay, he's changed his mind and he's going to do blonde for another role and he'll do brunette for your role.""
