Wrong. The atmosphere co-rotates with the earth. I am a pilot and the Coriolis training is mostly exclusive to magnetic dip. That is a proven fact. Pilots can see it during turns and see the compass dip. Planes are coupled to the atmosphere and other than magnetic dips aren't directly affected by Coriolis. Coriolis effect is real and I guarantee you Coriolis is calculated in when firing missiles or launching rockets.

And you wouldn't notice the coriolis effect as an engineer, as the effect is too small for most engineering applications. We have plenty of real world evidence of the Coriolis effect though, such as Foucault's pendulum and the great advances we saw with explaining hurricanes with the pressure-Coriolis balance.
