I don’t ride a bicycle too often but bike lanes keep cyclists safe (for the most part) and that really should be enough to keep them. Not everyone in the city can afford a car and frankly I dont want to be mowed down on the sidewalk by a cyclist too scared to ride on the road

If I was in construction, I'd offer to save the province money and rip these things out voluntarily. (probably just the ones on Bloor W though, don't wanna be greedy)

The bike lane is challenging for snow removal. Bikers can practice in York and Peel region.

Seriously folks! Canada is famous for our LONGEST harshest WINTERS and is dangerously irresponsible to promote riding bikes in the Winter months. Basically, financially poor cyclists were the only ones using the already narrow lanes in the streets of Toronto for bike lanes. Unless you are living in California or Taiwan longer Summers than Winters, I don’t think bike lanes is a good idea for the province of ONTARIO.

well i really hope they have stats to compare traffic times before and after this removal to prove that this was beneficial otherwise this was just a big colossal waste of money
