Hon. Ernest Adomako, the MP for Okaikwei South, has suggested that the Ministry of Education should consider introducing drug tests for senior high and tertiary students when they return from vacation. He believes this could help tackle the growing problem of hard drug and marijuana use among students. According to him, the government is investing in Free SHS to help shape students into responsible adults, but the rising drug use threatens to undermine that goal. He added that since the government is supporting these students, it has a responsibility to ensure that only those who are serious and committed to their personal development are allowed to benefit from the system.

It’s funny that NLC went on a strike regarding salary increase in Nigeria. What kind of foolishness is this? There is no need to increase any salary. If anything, it should be reduced. If people get higher wages, life might be better for many poor people which is not something we want and maybe education will get better too, the economy self… but who wants that? I don’t want Nigerian students to catch up with my students in China.. It’s better they stay at the same level they are now, so in the future, my Chinese students can continue building things for them to buy, that is if they are still alive. All of you that laid down waiting for NLC alone to fight for you, that’s the right decision because we should only look out for our individual interests. Let’s all stay at home. I am very happy with paying Nigerian teachers 30k per month, while senators take over 20 million naira. This is the right way, they should continue to enjoy while everyone else suffer. Let me go also go back and continue enjoying. Bye bye..

It should be clearly understood, as we have previously stated, that the hijab is not a form of fashion or cultural display, but a religious obligation in Islam. We therefore call on you, in the strongest terms, to urgently put an end to any form of discrimination or harassment against Muslim candidates in matters that are central to their faith. Are you expecting them to appear in examination halls without proper covering or to expose parts of their bodies? In our religion, this is not permissible, and we will not comply with such requirements. We strongly urge that all forms of harassment or discrimination against Muslim women for wearing the hijab be stopped immediately.
